Net-zero building technology, which promises to reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption in construction, holds immense potential to mitigate the environmental impact of our built environment. However, despite its evident advantages, adopting existing net-zero building technology remains unhurried.

This paper addresses drivers and barriers behind the implementation of these existing technologies. Also presented are 10 solid examples of commercial real estate companies with different approaches to accelerate the transition towards net-zero buildings.
